Counter-Rotating 3-Bladed Discs

With three blades per disc, Kubota mowers are always cutting. This design reduces load on each blade by two-thirds, balances the drive system, smooths power usage, and delivers a consistently neat, clean cut across the full working width.
Fully Welded Cutter Bar

The fully welded cutter bar, built with overlapping C-channels, creates a rigid, heavy-duty design that delivers outstanding strength and long-term durability, even under demanding mowing conditions.
Non-Stop Breakaway
DM2000, DM3000, DM4000 Series
Kubota’s Non-Stop Breakaway technology protects the cutter bar by allowing the mowing unit to move both back and up when an obstacle is encountered, helping prevent damage and reduce downtime.
Vertical Transportation

Fast Lift on Headlands
DM1000 Series
Kubota 1000 Series Disc Mowers feature a fast-lift system for smooth, efficient turns on headlands. A dedicated cylinder raises the mower while the three-point hitch remains stationary. This reduces wear and tear by keeping the PTO angle consistent, minimizing vibration.
Spring-Loaded Breakaway
DM1000 Series
Every 1000 Series mower is equipped with a spring-loaded breakaway designed to protect the cutter bar and key components if you hit an obstacle. Resetting the system is quick and easy. With the mower in the working position, just back up a few feet, then get right back to mowing.
Flexible Suspension
DM2000 Series
Kubota DM2000 models feature a highly flexible suspension that allows the mower to closely follow ground contours for a clean, consistent cut. This makes the DM2000 exceptionally well suited for slopes and hilly terrain, with an impressive operating angle of up to 35 degrees both up and down.
Powerful Drive
DM2000 Series
Kubota 2000 Series mowers are powered by a strong, flexible, spring-loaded V-belt drive. As belt tension changes, the spring pushes the drive wheel outward to automatically maintain proper belt tension, ensuring smooth, reliable power transfer.
Butterfly Rear-Mounted Mowers
With just 140 horsepower, Kubota’s DM3087 delivers an impressive 28' 7" of cutting width. This butterfly rear-mounted mowing solution lets operators cover large acreages efficiently while running a relatively small tractor, maximizing productivity without needing excessive horsepower.

The center suspension system ensures optimal tracking and precise ground-contour following for both mowing units. This design helps maintain a consistent cutting height and clean cut across uneven terrain.
Adaptive Ground Suspension
DM4000 Series
To ensure the best possible ground adaptation, the mowing unit moves independently from the front linkage. This allows the mower to closely follow changing ground contours for a consistent, even cut.
ECO SPEED
DM4000 Series
By switching pulleys, the two-speed driveline can be set to Eco Speed, reducing PTO speed from 1,000 rpm to 750 rpm. This lowers fuel consumption while maintaining efficient mowing performance.
Active Suspension
DM5000 Series
The Kubota DM5000 is designed to adapt exceptionally well to changing field conditions. Its active suspension system maintains even pressure across the entire cutter bar, helping deliver consistent cutting performance even in rough terrain.
Express Quick Change Knives
DM5000 Series
The 5000 Series mowers can be equipped with the “Express” knife-changing system for fast, simple blade changes. Just move the lever over the bolt, compress the spring, and rotate the lever to "R" to release and replace the knives quickly and safely.
Lateral Flotation
DM5000 Series
With 13.8 inches of upward suspension and 9.3 inches of downward adaptation, the DM5000 Series keeps the cutting discs positioned close to the ground at all times. An additional 17 degrees of sideward adaptation provides a clear advantage when working on hillsides and improves control during headland turns.
Narrow Transport
DM5000 Series
The 5000 Series offers a convenient transport solution with excellent road visibility. The side guards fold upward to make the mower as narrow as possible, reducing transport width from 10'6" to 9'10" on the 5028 and 5032, and from 13'1" to 12'5" on the 5040.
Swivel Hitch Gearbox
DM5000 Series
The swivel hitch gearbox is fixed to the machine's frame to minimize movement during operation, while still allowing unlimited rotational movement between the mower and the tractor. This design makes sharp turns easier without sacrificing stability.
